At InfoGuard, where he serves as Vice President of Investigation & Intelligence, Mathias currently spearheads the development of the incident response practice. Prior to this, he played a pivotal role in establishing one of Switzerland's leading Managed Security Service Providers (MSSP) Security Operations Centers (SOC). His contributions extend beyond corporate realms; for over a decade, Mathias has also served as a SANS certified instructor, specializing in Advanced Digital Forensics, Incident Response, and Threat Hunting. Leveraging his extensive real-world experience, he enriches his teaching with practical insights and examples.
Before joining InfoGuard, Mathias notably held the position of Principal Consultant at Mandiant, where he led cybersecurity investigations on a global scale from 2015 to 2017.
